SUMMARY:75th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Tickets Available Now!\nACT’s roots extend back to the 1920s\, but it was in October 1948 that we formally incorporated as Altoona Community Theatre. Today\, 75 years later\, ACT has developed into a mainstay of the local arts community…enlightening our audiences with great dramas\, comedies and musicals…challenging the artistic sensibilities of our volunteer performers and technicians…and awakening the imaginations of young people with programs like our Summer Drama Workshops and the Isaacs Awards. \nAltoona Community Theatre invites you to celebrate our Diamond Anniversary with us on June 17\, 2023.\n  \nThe evening begins in the Historic Mishler Theatre with “Places!”\nA Theatrical Celebration of ACT’s 75th Anniversary\n“Places!” is an original work conceived\, written & directed by Karen Volpe. The star of this dazzling production is Altoona Community Theatre. The people. The plays. The musicals. The fun. The heartaches. And everything in between. The show captures the spirit of ACT and tells our story using songs and scenes from past productions. Thank you to our Production Sponsors\, Jane & Lee Hite\, Matthew & Tiffany Stuckey Foundation\, and Stevens Family Funeral Homes. \nAfter the performance\, there will be a reception at The Columns Banquet Center\, just a quick walk down the block from the Mishler.\nThe reception will include hors d’oeuvres\, non-alcoholic beverages\, and desserts provided by David and Paula Binus Catering. Cash Bar will be available.
