When 38 planes were diverted to a small\, Canadian community on September 11\, 2001\, the town’s population doubled in an instant.  While the world witnessed the worst acts of humankind on the news\, the stranded passengers had their faith in humanity restored by the spirited people who comforted all those who had come from away.  This amazing story of light in the face of darkness is told with simplicity and humor and heartfelt energy. \nTime and Place: \nSeptember 11 through 16 of 2001 \, and Sept. 11\, 2011 in Central Newfoundland\, on 38 airplanes\, plus New York\, Texas\, California\, England and other locations. \nCasting: \n12 adults – 6 male presenting and 6 female presenting \nA diverse group representing multiple characters from different countries\, cultures and religions ranging in ages from 20’s through 60’s.  These characters are all based on real people and so must be played with honesty\, respect and compassion. \nEach actor plays multiple roles.  All actors move through the choreography and the set and the switching of characters at an upbeat pace.  The set is simply 12 chairs and 3 tables that move around a lot to indicate different locations.  Realistic props and small costume pieces also help to indicate the changes in scenes and characters. A unique feature of the show is that the musicians are onstage for the show so there is no conductor in pit to give the cast singing cues. \nRead more about the available roles here\, including vocal ranges and character descriptions. \nAudition Scenes: \nYou can review the two auditions scenes in advance by clicking on the links below.  The director will hand out the scene pages and will assign people to read individual characters. There is no need to memorize anything. You will be holding the scene pages in your hand. \nAudition Scene 1    Audition Scene 2 \nAccents: \nThe Newfoundland accent is something we work on throughout the rehearsal process but will not be expected at auditions. It’s sometimes described as a mix of Canadian\, Irish and Minnesota. One example – Newfoundland – noo-fun-LAND – stressed on last syllable like understand. If you’d like to try a Newfoundland accent\, click on the link below. But it is not required for auditions. \nThere are also characters with a New York accent\, a Texas accent\, an African accent\, a Middle Eastern accent\, a British accent and lines are spoken in Spanish and Hebrew. \nNewfoundland accent \nAudition Forms \nSave yourself some time and stress by downloading the audition forms below in advance\, print them\, fill them out\, and bring them to auditions. (It’s easier to find your calendar and remember your best onstage roles when you’re sitting comfortably at home.) \nOf course\, we’ll have the forms at auditions if you need one. \nAudition Form     Conflict Calendar \nTo Learn More: \nThere is a Broadway ProShot of “Come From Away” streaming on Apple TV right now that is excellent if you get a chance to watch it. \n\n \nCome From Away is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com

\nAudition Scene 1    Audition Scene 2 \nAccents: \nThe Newfoundland accent is something we will work on throughout the rehearsal process but will not be expected at auditions. (It’s easier to find your calendar and remember your best roles onstage when you’re sitting comfortably at home.) \nOf course\, we’ll have the forms at auditions if you need one. \nAudition Form     Conflict Calendar \n To Learn More: \nThere is a Broadway ProShot of Come From Away streaming on Apple TV right now that is excellent if you get a chance to watch it.   \n  \nCome From Away is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com

DESCRIPTION:Agatha Christie’s\nMurder on the Orient Express\nAdapted for the stage by Ken Ludwig\nNovember 12\, 13\, & 14 at 7:30 PM\nNovember 15 at 2 PM\nDirected by Kalyn Everett\nWhen a snowdrift stops the Orient Express\, an American tycoon is discovered murdered in a locked compartment. Agatha Christie’s classic locked‑room mystery\, adapted by Tony-nominated playwright Ken Ludwig\, becomes a fast‑moving\, witty\, and theatrical whodunit. Expect elegant 1930’s style\, a brilliant detective\, an ensemble of flamboyant suspects\, and a crowd‑pleasing climax that will leave you guessing and grinning. Join us for an evening of suspense\, glamour\, intrigue\, and laughter. \n“A murder mystery with a wink—brisk\, witty\, and utterly satisfying.” — The Daily Herald \nTICKETS ON SALE SEPTEMBER 1\nHave a group of ten or more? SUMMARY:Something Rotten!
DESCRIPTION:Something Rotten!\nBook by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell\nMusic and Lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick\nApril 29 & 30\, May 1 at 7:30 PM\nMay 2 at 2 PM\nDirected by Scott Riner\nSomething Rotten! explodes onto stage as a madcap mashup of Shakespearean swagger and Broadway bombast. Set in Renaissance England\, two desperate brothers decide the only way to beat the Bard is to invent the “musical.” Chaos\, tap numbers\, and history-twisting humor ensue. \nExpect show-stopping ensemble numbers\, razor-sharp parody\, and a loveable underdog story that’s equal parts slapstick and heart. With larger-than-life characters and a chorus line that never quits\, this is the perfect night out for anyone who loves to laugh until they cry. \nBring your sense of humor and your loudest applause—this riotous romp rewrites history and\nreminds us that sometimes the best ideas are the ones that make the most glorious mess. Join us for uproarious and unforgettable Renaissance revelry. \n“A laugh‑a‑minute triumph—riotous\, clever\, and gloriously over‑the‑top.” — The Stage Review \nTICKETS ON SALE SEPTEMBER 1\nHave a group of ten or more?
