	1 Arists needed for Downtown Mural Project Arists needed for Downtown Mural Project May 22, 2026 - June 3, 2026 The City of Altoona with the support of ArtsAltoona, Altoona Mirror and Altoona Blair County Development Corporation (ABCD) is inviting artists of all experience levels to participate in a unique public art project in the heart of Downtown Altoona. As part of an effort to beautify the former Gables Building along 11th Avenue, we are seeking artists to transform a series of boarded window spaces into vibrant, mural-style artworks. Penn State Altoona will host summer open dance classes from 1 to 2:15 p.m. on Sundays, May 31, June 28, July 26 and August 23 in the dance studio, room 148 of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.

These free classes are open to those 18 and older and will feature movement and engagement through modern dance technique and improvisation. Dancers of all levels, styles, backgrounds and experiences are welcome.

The class is presented by Penn State Altoona’s dance program.
