Show Information:

“They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky.  Based on Charles Addams’ original macabre cartoons, The Addams Family, a madcap blockbuster Broadway musical, finds the charmingly creepy clan facing a new nightmare – daughter Wednesday has fallen in love…with a nice young man from Ohio!  Despite the young couple’s plea for things to just be normal for once, the dinner party hosted by Gomez and Morticia to meet the boy’s parents soon goes devilishly awry, testing the bonds of family, love, and unholy matrimony. It’s a musical comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family!”

The Cast:

Gomez Addams- (30-60) Male, Tenor/Baritone Vocals. Patriarch of the Addams Family. Suave & loving, yet comedic. Takes great pride in his family.

Morticia Addams- (25-60) Female, Alto/Mezzo Vocals. Matriarch of the Addams Family. The strength of the family. Strong-willed, passionate, smart with a dry wit.

Uncle Fester- (20+) Tenor/Baritone Vocals. Serves as the musical’s narrator. Larger than life & energetic.

Grandma- (35+) Character vocals. Feisty old woman. Not your traditional grandma, loves scheming with Pugsley. May be cross-cast but character will remain a woman.

Wednesday Addams- (18-30) Female, Pop Soprano/Mezzo Vocals. Adventurous. Same dry wit as her mother. Struggling with falling in love with a “normal” boy & how to tell her very not normal parents

Pugsley Addams- (15-25) Alto Vocals. Troublesome younger sibling of Wednesday. Funny but sometimes annoying. Loves being tortured.

Lurch- (25+) Male, Groans. The Addams butler who knows all, but says less. Speaks only in moans and groans.

Mal Beineke- (30-60) Male, High Baritone/Tenor Vocals. Stuffy father to Lucas and exasperated husband to Alice. Stereotypical businessman, worried about appearances.

Alice Beineke- (25-60) Female, Soprano Vocals. Charming but quirky housewife. Devoted wife & mother, willing to put her own desires aside for Mal & Lucas. Her time at the Addams family home makes her question always needing to appear “perfect”

Lucas Beineke- (18-30) Male, Tenor Vocals. Attractive but dorky. “Normal” but desperately in love with Wednesday & intrigued by her. Struggles with the differences between their families.

The Addams Ancestors – (15+) All vocal ranges. Summoned from “the other side” to celebrate with the family. They assist in telling the story & interact with the other characters throughout the show.

Thing- Disembodied hand. Non-speaking role. Actor may also work as stage crew.

Roles open to diversity & gender inclusive casting unless gender is specifically noted.

Age ranges are suggested ages for actors who play the role, but may need to play older or younger.
